Rudy’s Aquarium – Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Rudy’s Aquarium! We’re a small, family-run Betta fish hobby breeder based in South West London. Please take a moment to read our simple Terms & Conditions before placing an order. By purchasing from us, you agree to the following terms.
🐠 1. About Us
Rudy’s Aquarium is a small hobby breeder, not a large-scale retailer. All fish are bred and raised with care in our home-based setup.
We are currently only selling within the UK, and at this stage, we do not offer international shipping.
💳 2. Orders & Payments
All fish are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase via our website checkout or other agreed methods.
We reserve the right to cancel any order if a fish becomes unwell or unavailable before collection or delivery. In that case, you will receive a full refund.
📦 3. Collection & Local Delivery
We currently offer collection and local delivery only.
Collection (preferred)
Collection is from South East London by appointment only.
Once your order is confirmed, we’ll contact you to arrange a suitable time for pickup.
Please bring your own insulated container or fish bag if possible.
Local Delivery (limited availability)
Local hand delivery may be available within roughly 4-5 miles of our base in South East London: BR3
A small delivery fee (£5–£10 depending on distance) will apply and will be agreed upon before the order is finalised.
Delivery must be accepted in person at the arranged time.
We are unable to post or courier live fish at this stage.
💧 4. Fish Health & Live Arrival
All fish are healthy, eating, and in good condition when they leave us.
Once a fish has left Rudy’s Aquarium (either by collection or hand delivery), we cannot be responsible for any losses or issues that occur in your care, as this depends on individual tank setups and acclimation.
If a fish arrives unwell or deceased due to delivery (only applicable to local delivery), please contact us within 2 hours of receiving your fish, with a clear photo or video. Each case will be reviewed individually, and we may offer a replacement or refund at our discretion.
🚫 5. Refunds & Returns
As fish are live animals, we cannot accept returns or exchanges once the fish has left our care.
Refunds are only issued if:
We cancel an order before collection/delivery due to fish health or availability.
A fish arrives deceased on local delivery (with proof provided within 2 hours).
⚠️ 6. Buyer Responsibility
It is the buyer’s responsibility to:
Research Betta fish care before purchasing.
Ensure their tank is fully cycled and suitable for a Betta.
Acclimate their new fish slowly to avoid shock.
Provide a stable, heated, filtered environment.

📜 7. Wholesale Enquiries
We’re working toward offering Betta fish for wholesale supply in future. If you’re a retailer or breeder interested in bulk purchasing, please contact us directly for upcoming availability.
⚖️ 8. Liability
We take every care to provide healthy fish and accurate information. However, Rudy’s Aquarium cannot be held responsible for losses, illness, or damage that may occur once a fish has been collected or delivered.
These terms are governed by UK law.
